YOUR RISHIKESH JOURNEY · PLANNING GUIDE
Holi, culture and quieter moments in Rishikesh
Colourful celebration and quiet reflection can share the same journey. Our intention is to make space for both, with local hosting and clear choices about participation.
Proposed 2027 departure · final dates, hosts, venue and price are confirmed in your written offer.

01 · PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE
A locally hosted festival chapter
The proposal includes a Holi experience shaped with local hosts. The setting, exact timing, transport and participation arrangements remain to be confirmed. Early festival imagery shows other celebrations in India; it does not show a past House of Ananda retreat or promise a particular event.
02 · PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE
Choose how you join in
Some guests may want to join colour celebrations; others may prefer to observe or remain at the retreat. Discuss your preferences before booking, including whether a quieter alternative is available and how transport back to the venue will work. Ask the hosts about local etiquette, clothing and photography.
03 · PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE
Culture beyond one festival day
Proposed experiences include local exploration, Ganga Aarti and the Beatles Ashram. These are planning intentions: access, guides, tickets and transport must be identified in the confirmed programme. They will not all necessarily take place on the same day, and local conditions can affect the itinerary.
04 · PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE
Leave room to absorb the experience
Yoga, meditation, rest and time beside the proposed riverside base are part of the intended rhythm. A quieter day after celebration gives the journey breathing space. Optional Tai Chi may be added if an appropriate instructor is confirmed; it is not currently a guaranteed inclusion.
Your questions, answered
Is every festival ticket included?
No inclusion should be assumed. Your written offer must list festival access, ticket categories, transport and any extra costs.
Is the retreat directly beside the Ganges?
The proposed Aranyam base is beside the River Hyule, a tributary of the Ganges, outside central Rishikesh.
