Daniel’s life has moved through professional kitchens, open oceans, African skies, long journeys and entrepreneurship—always returning to curiosity, human connection and the art of bringing people together.
As a chef, he has worked across independent restaurants, hotels and high-volume services, including roles as head chef, private chef and executive chef. His experience spans fine dining, menu and kitchen development, local sourcing, team building and the practical care required to serve people well. Food, for Daniel, is both craft and connection: a way of creating atmosphere, generosity and a sense of belonging.
His working life has also taken him far beyond hospitality. Daniel worked as a diving instructor in Grenada in the West Indies and on the island of Roatán, Honduras. Living and working beside the Caribbean Sea gave him an enduring respect for the natural world and for the particular stillness found beneath its surface—a place where attention, breath and calm are not abstract ideas, but necessities.
In Africa, Daniel worked as a pilot flying air safaris. Seeing the continent from the air offered another perspective: immense landscapes, distance and movement held within a wider sense of scale. The discipline of aviation, like diving, demanded awareness, preparation and presence—qualities that would later find a different expression in his approach to yoga and meditation.
Travel has been one of the great threads of Daniel’s life. He journeyed through the Americas from Canada to Tierra del Fuego at the southernmost reaches of Argentina, and then travelled north again. Along the way he spent extended periods in Cusco, Peru, and explored the Amazon through Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. These were not simply destinations, but experiences of culture, language, landscape and different ways of understanding community and the world.
Before returning fully to hospitality, Daniel built businesses in transport, web design and marketing, and worked internationally across Europe and in Dubai. He holds an MSc in International Entrepreneurship, speaks fluent Spanish and conversational Italian, and brings curiosity, adaptability and a broad view of people and place to everything he creates.
Across these many chapters—chef, diver, pilot, traveller and entrepreneur—Daniel learned about energy, atmosphere, resilience and the importance of how a place makes someone feel. They also opened a deeper question: what does it mean to create a space that does more than serve or entertain—a space that helps people reconnect with themselves?
Yoga became part of Daniel’s answer. Not as a performance of perfection, but as a way to become steadier, more honest and more present during periods of change. His practice has grown into an intention to study more deeply, train in India and build a future in which movement, nourishment, wellbeing, exploration and service meet.
House of Ananda began in 2026 as a personal collection of complete yoga flows and music. It has since grown into a wider spiritual and educational project encompassing practice guides, meditation, anatomy, the history and language of yoga, Indian philosophy, nutrition, Tai Chi, Eastern pathways, Daily Peace and a living visual journey through India.
Daniel remains a student. The purpose of the house is not to claim final authority, but to gather reliable guidance, respect the roots and distinct identities of living traditions, and share the experience of beginning again with humility and curiosity.
